Week at a Glance

Good Afternoon,

What an awesome day we had yesterday! We started the morning off with 14 student baptisms! It is so encouraging to see the Lord work through our church and in the hearts of our students. It was such a privilege to have their testimonies and baptisms brought before the body. Praise God!

Last night we continued in our series on Revelation. I taught on Jesus’ end time warnings found in Matthew 24. I encourage you read through the notes I sent out yesterday!

We are off for the next two Sundays, but will return on September 8th.

DEEP DIVE

We are continuing the topic of Heaven and Hell this Wednesday from 6:30-8:00pm. Last week, I began our discussion teaching on death and the intermediate state. I encourage you read through the notes I sent out Wednesday!

MARSHILLAPOLOOZA

Please join us for MarsHillapalooza—a time to celebrate God's amazing grace and provision at Mars Hill Community Church over the last year!
From 4:00-5:00 PM, we will gather for a recap of how God has worked at Mars Hill this past year and a look ahead at what we anticipate in 2025. Afterward, we will go outside and enjoy food trucks and fellowship!

HANGOUT

Wednesday, August 28th we will be meeting at Bruster’s from 7:30-8:30pm to eat ice cream and hangout. All grades are invited, please send your child with funds to purchase ice cream.  The address is 3795 Due West Rd NW, hope to see them there!

MENS MINISTRY FOOTBALL DRAFT

On Tuesday, September 3 from 8:00-9:30pm we will be having our Mens Ministry Fantasy Football Draft Party. This year, the league is open high school boys. We will split into different groups to draft teams for the upcoming NFL season.

GIRLS DAY

On Saturday September 14th, from 10am-3pm, we are back for our fourth Girls Day! All 6th - 12th grade girls are invited to join us. Our theme is “My Story for His Glory”, how women of the Bible’s stories reflected God’s sovereignty & glory, and how our own stories should do the same today. This event is free and lunch will be provided.
